LEADING AMERICAN METEOROLOGY PROFESSOR QUESTIONS UN CLIMATE ALARM |
|
November 30, 2009: "The Climate Science Isn't Settled - Confident predictions of catastrophe are unwarranted", by Dr. Richard S. Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan professor of meteorology, Dept. of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A, published in The Wall Street Journal, New York City. "The notion that complex climate "catastrophes" are simply a matter of the response of a single number, globally averaged temperature anomaly, to a single forcing, CO2 (or solar forcing for that matter), represents a gigantic step backward in the science of climate. Many disasters associated with warming are simply normal occurrences whose existence is falsely claimed to be evidence of warming." Read whole piece.
